After having obtained a BA from the Rotterdam Shipping and Transport College Arnout started his career as helmsman on inland barges and blue water ships. Upon coming ashore he worked in a operational and managerial capacity with various port and shipping related companies in Rotterdam (NL), Duisburg (D) and Antwerp (B).
Having studied law in Rotterdam and Leiden (NL), Leuven (B), London (GB) and Omaha (USA) he obtained his LLm and was admitted to the BAR in 1995. Clients value Arnout for his combination of first hand practical knowledge of the shipping, trade and logistics industry and his thorough knowledge of the law. In his spare time Arnout is an keen sailor and he is not averse to taking the helm of commercial vessels if his former colleagues ask him to help out. As a part-time examiner he tests the legal knowledge of students from a large college and when called upon he acts as arbitrator in commercial disputes and is a skilled negotiator.

Jan graduated from University of Louvain (B) in 1997 and obtained a special degree in Maritime- and Inland Shipping Law at Antwerp University (B) in 1998. Later he studied custom and tax law. Jan is a very hands-on professional who has gained a very extensive practical knowledge by always making it a priority to visit the clients business premises and/or incident sites.
Jan practices international commercial law, with a special emphasis on transport law (maritime, inland shipping, carriage by air and road, intermediaries, storage & handling), but provides also full legal services in construction law, agency law, law of rental contracts and real estate law. He has experience in international commercial arbitrations.

Guy graduated from the University of Louvain (B) in 1972. Guy was a university lecturer at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve from 2004 till 2008.
He is mainly active in the fields of maritime and transport law. He practices as arbitrator and was a member of the Board of Directors of CEPANI from 2007 till 2013. Guy is also a substituting judge in the Commercial Court in Antwerp as from 1987 and was a board member of the Antwerp Bar in Antwerp. He was President of the Belgian Maritime Law Association from 2007 till 2011. Guy is also the Honorary Consul General of Monaco and President of the Alliance Française d’Anvers.
